English version itv of Ng Wai- Shing

1° Present you briefly, Why rugby ? When etc…
I am 19 years old. I play tighthead prop. I weight 116kg and my height is 186cm. I went to high school in Scotland call Lomond School. I was 16-years-old at that time and that was where I had my first rugby training ever. I was pretty fat back then and my coach just said to me, « You look like a prop to me. » So I’ve been playing prop till now. And the reason I love about rugby is because we get to tackle and run into people. I just love it.

2° What is the hong kong rugby history ?
I didn’t start playing in Hong Kong until I was 17-years-old, so I really don’t know much about the history of Hong Kong rugby.

3° The best hong kong rugby moments ?
It would be when I played for the Hong Kong Under-19s, when we beat Korea for the first time in around 20 years.

4° Can you talk about players of your team ?  Yours assets ( your + and your  -)
The players on my team are all my role models. They all come from different parts of the world. When I first started training with them, they really made me feel like I was part of the team already. They always pointed out what I did wrong and showed me how it should be done, so I have to thank them for it. Without them, I would be lost on the field. And I would put my body on the line for the boys.I really couldn’t tell you what my strengths are, because I am still at a learning stage. But if I really have to have one, I would think that my ball carrying will be what I do best at the moment. My weakness is my fitness, which I am working really hard everyday to try to improve on.

5° What do you think about french rugby and South Africa or All Black rugby ?
I think that the level of rugby that they are playing is amazing. I would like to go to one of these countries to watch them play live in a stadium.

6° What do you want for the hong kong rugby ?
My hope for Hong Kong rugby is that one day we will be the first in Asia and make an appearance at the Rugby World Cup. I also want people to be crazy about the Hong Kong 15s, just as they are so crazy about the Hong Kong Sevens.

7° Projects ? Your dream ?
My future project is that I would like to become the strongest prop there is in Asia. My dream is that one day I can play beside my idol superstar Sebastian Chabal.

8° Its your turn , you can ask me one question ;-) ( about rugby)
Do you happen to play as well??
BR : No I like so much this sport but its not good for my body ;-)
